Atletico Madrid’s Federico Higuain is already on a world tour after he scored in the Champions League final against Barcelona, and he wants to go further.
After a long career in the Italian league, the 19-year-old will be a major target of Pep Guardiola’s Barcelona team, and Higuains ambition is to make the move to the top flight at the Camp Nou.
It was a dream for Higuany to play in the Campo de Campo with his hometown club, but that dream has been shattered.
“I don’t think I’ve played in the European competitions, but I have been playing in the Confederations Cup, I think I have a chance to play here,” he told Rai Sport.
“Atletico Madrid are a great club and they are very good, so I want to join their first team, but for me I want a bigger club, I want more.
I have already told them I want one.”
Higuany has already made a name for himself as a star for Roma and he has already secured a place in Guardiola’s first-team squad after scoring in the first leg of the Champions Final.
“It’s a dream to play at the Calderon, but now it is even more important to play for the first team,” he said.
“The Campo was a great stadium and it was a place I wanted to play and I hope to play with my club, for the club that I have always loved.”
