The admissions process for college students will be getting more difficult, and that means colleges will need to get creative with how they are trying to attract students.
A new report from Admissions to Higher Education suggests that college job applicants will be competing for the same positions, regardless of what college they attended.
Admissions officers at more than 80 U.S. colleges are expected to meet with applicants on campus during the next six months to talk about how they want to attract and retain students in the coming years.
The new report is the latest in a trend of colleges trying to improve their recruitment efforts by hiring more college graduates.
In 2017, the College Board said it was looking at recruiting more college grads in an effort to compete with universities such as Harvard, MIT and Stanford.
In a new report, the University of California at Berkeley’s College of Engineering said that it would be able to recruit college grad students with the right college experience.
“If you want to have the kind of impact on the workforce that we are seeing in the private sector, you need a college degree, and you need the right kind of career,” UC Berkeley Engineering President Richard Winger said.
Admission officers will also have to get more creative in what they can and cannot do to try to get a job.
They’ll need to be more specific about what they are looking for and how they can meet the needs of a potential employer.
The University of Washington’s Office of Undergraduate Admission said that the department is currently trying to recruit more college students who can be highly skilled at a specific profession.
“We’re not doing a huge amount of that right now, but we want to make sure we’re not missing opportunities,” said Krista Lohse, the director of admissions and diversity.
Another new recommendation is to look at how to increase the number of people who apply to be accepted to colleges.
The College of American Studies said that more colleges and universities should be able apply to accept applications from multiple colleges, not just one.
“It’s important that students have a choice,” said Jessica Dolan, the college’s vice president of admissions.
“And if you’re applying to a large institution, and it’s going to be a very small number of applications, it’s not going to really make a difference to us.”
The report also found that colleges will have to do more to help students who have disabilities.
The report said that colleges must provide more opportunities for students with disabilities to use technology to help them learn.
“We know there are a lot of barriers to getting into a college, and we think we need to make it easier to get into a good college,” Loh, the UW’s dean of students, said.
