College students are obsessed with drinking games.
They spend an inordinate amount of time playing them, and most of the time they’re on their own.
But that’s not the case for some seniors who have never even played a game before.
We spoke to Dr. David Ragan, a psychologist at Johns Hopkins University, to get the lowdown on the top drinking game that everyone should try.

Ragen’s research suggests that drinking games can help to improve social interactions and improve your overall health.
“People are actually getting better,” he says.
“And the drinking game is one of those things that is particularly effective.”
So why should you try them?
Ragan tells Bleacher Sports that there are a few main reasons that you should try a game at your next drinking party.
Dr. David V. Ragon is a professor of psychiatry at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, and he believes that a good drinking game will help you feel better in the long run.
“In terms of overall health, a good game will be beneficial for your overall wellbeing,” he explains.
“For example, the social interaction aspect of it is a lot better if you’re not drinking.
If you’re drinking, you’re more likely to get in a fight with another person, and that could cause some problems.”
But he also recommends that people play a game that is challenging and fun for their friends.
“So people are going to want to try games with them that are challenging, because that’s something they can really enjoy and get into the habit of playing,” he said.
You can also play with others, which is another reason why Dr. V.
Ragon recommends games that are fun and challenging.
“When you’re playing with someone who has been drinking a lot, it can be a little difficult to control how much they drink.
So having someone that is new to the game and is able to get into it and have fun and be a part of the group is helpful,” he explained.
Dr Ragan also recommends games where the players are allowed to choose their own reward.
“The challenge is in getting them to drink a certain amount, or not drink, or have a certain type of reward,” he suggests.
“But the reward that is a reward for them is the social and physical part of it, so it is fun and interesting.”
